US 1929 (Sep 15) 1st Flight from Seattle Signed by 5 Hindenburg Crew Members. Two of the crew members who would later be on the Hindeburg that crashed signed this envelope commemorating the first Air Mail flight in 1929: Afred Grozinger, a cook, and Al Stoffler, the pastry chef. The envelope is signed also by three crew members of other airships, Norbert Heiss, who served on LOZ127; George Holl, a member of the LZ127 and LZ129 crews, and Jos. (Josef) Sonntag, a mechanic on LZ127, which was in service from 1928 until it was retired in 1937.
